The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferreira turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Ferreira scoring well with a low kick there.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Ferreira slips a jab and a cross from Carter.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Ferreira.

and Ferreira counters with a thumping low kick.
Ferreira steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Carter.
Carter fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

It looks like Faffa Ferreira has been cut.

Carter looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Carter misses with an uppercut
and Ferreira counters with a leg kick.
Carter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ferreira moves away.
A jab lands there for Carter.
Ferreira fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Carter avoids it really well and circles away.
Carter throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ferreira steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

Carter is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Carter throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Carter dips to his left and cracks Ferreira with an uppercut!

Ferreira is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carter is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Ferreira flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Ferreira is out cold! Carter holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
