The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eugen misses with a looping left.
Mirez drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Eugen defends it well.
Eugen throws a shot to the body.
Mirez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Eugen tries to avoid it but Mirez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Eugen to the ground. Eugen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
As Mirez looks to move away, Eugen throws a big counter combo but Mirez just gets out of the way.
Mirez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Eugen.
Mirez takes a jab right on the kisser.
Eugen takes a swing at Mirez's ribcage but misses.
Eugen swings for the body but Mirez moves out of range.
Mirez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Eugen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mirez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Eugen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Martin Eugen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Black Mirez.
Mirez tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Eugen is able to avoid easily.
Mirez fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Mirez moves into range and clinches up with Eugen.
Eugen lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Mirez backwards.
Eugen works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Mirez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Mirez blocks a body shot from Eugen.

Eugen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Eugen scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

It looks like Black Mirez has been cut.
Eugen drops Mirez with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Mirez! Eugen dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
