Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Minhyuk Brown (ranked 4116 p4p, 401 weight class) and Jao Rua (ranked 1737 p4p, 203 weight class). Brown comes to the cage accompanied by This is what I came for Calvin Harris. Rua has chosen Tarantula as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Brown lands a nice hook to Rua's body. Rua takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
A slow jab from Rua misses its intended target.
Good standup being displayed there by Brown as he connects with a hook.
Rua keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A jab from Rua does it's job there.

It looks like Minhyuk Brown has been cut.
Brown throws a combination that misses
letting Rua counter with a right hand.
Rua staying out of range there.
Rua is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Brown with a body shot.
Brown shoots for a double leg takedown but Rua sprawls well. He's pushed Brown's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rua scores with a hook to the body. Brown takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Rua looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Rua moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rua on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Brown throws a right and a left that Rua avoids nicely.
Brown takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Brown definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Brown misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Rua swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Rua connects with a jab.
Rua connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Minhyuk Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fighters circle momentarily. Rua darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Minhyuk Brown's cut is getting worse.
Rua's corner calls for a 1-2. Rua obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Brown is rocked!

Rua sends Brown crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Rua is motioning to the referee to let Brown up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Oh Brown is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brown walks straight into a right hand from Rua - that's dropped him! Rua jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Brown from any more punishment! Brown complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jao Rua!
Jao Rua is the new welterweight champion!
Jao Rua bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
The defeated Minhyuk Brown had this to say: 'I will come back as a better fighter and learn from this!!'.
