Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jarod Lloyd (ranked 25179 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grim Reaper (ranked 7250 p4p, 0 weight class). Grim Reaper looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reaper lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lloyd circles away quickly and effectively.
A punch combination from Reaper misses.
Grim Reaper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Reaper closes the distance and clinches.
With the fighters up against the cage, Lloyd throws an elbow but misses.
Lloyd jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Reaper walks away with a smile on his face. Lloyd gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Lloyd takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Reaper is trying to push Lloyd away but Lloyd has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Reaper wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Lloyd wants to sweep here but Reaper controlling him for the moment.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Lloyd turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Grim Reaper showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Lloyd looks to land a combination but Reaper avoids it well.

Lloyd tries to land a front kick but Reaper steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Lloyd will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Reaper has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Reaper bucks up and tries to throw Lloyd off but instead Lloyd has got his back!
Jarod Lloyd overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Reaper takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Reaper is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Lloyd will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Reaper is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Reaper is trying to get back to his feet but Lloyd has full control of the position and if anything, Reaper has just worked his way into a worse spot.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Lloyd lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Reaper. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Lloyd is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Reaper knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Reaper for a finish.
Lloyd is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Reaper is covering up but some of the strikes from Lloyd are getting through and doing damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Grim Reaper is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Lloyd has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Reaper! Can he survive? No! He's out! Lloyd gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
