The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leggs throws a leg kick that is checked

and Knowles decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Leggs's guard.

Knowles is fighting to break Leggs's control of his arms but Leggs is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Leggs is pulling down on Knowles's head to control his posture.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Leggs closes the distance and pushes Knowles back into the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Knowles fails to land.

Knowles escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Leggs looks to score with a jab to the body but Knowles is just out of range.

Knowles shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Leggs as he jumps to the side.

Knowles has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Leggs is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Leggs is thwarting Knowles's attempts to control the position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Leggs in particular looking to stall.
Leggs works his way into side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Knowles is trying to escape the position but Leggs is controlling the position.

A close round but Breckin Leggs will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Knowles is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Knowles won't allow Leggs to sweep him here.

Leggs wants to lay and pray for a moment but Knowles keeps working.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Breckin Leggs has got the better of the ground game so far.
Leggs's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Knowles wants to get back to his feet but Leggs drags him back down.

Knowles bucks up and tries to throw Leggs off but instead Leggs has got his back!
Knowles is really stuck here.

Leggs has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Knowles! Can he survive? No! He's out! Leggs gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
