The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hard swats away the attempt to clinch by Cross.

Cross fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hard, pushing him back against the cage.
Hard prevents the takedown attempt.
Hard blocks an uppercut.
Cross tries to land a knee to the head but Hard blocks with his arms.
Cross struggles to land a body shot inside as Hard controls his hands.
Hard has Cross pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hard keeps control of Cross as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Hard avoiding damage as Cross throws knees to the body.
Hard stalling against the cage.

Hard is trying to trip Cross. He has hold of a leg but Cross is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Hard persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Cross is looking to stand back up but Hard counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Cross.
Cross might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Hard is taking a breather. Cross says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
