Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hugo Pittman (ranked 25059 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nurmagomedov Junior (ranked 4628 p4p, 459 weight class). Junior is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dagestan. Nurmagomedov Junior is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hugo Pittman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nurmagomedov Junior!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Steve Erwin and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Junior clinches with his opponent.

Junior jumps guard.

Junior working for a triangle but Pittman defends it easily.
Pittman wants to control from the top but Junior keeps moving.
Junior tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Junior pulls Pittman in to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pittman trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Junior wants to stand but Pittman is controlling the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pittman throws a big elbow that misses.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Pittman stops Junior from standing up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Junior moves into range and clinches up with Pittman.
Pittman is trying to pull guard but Junior has him pressed against the cage.
Junior keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Pittman's efforts to push away.

Junior is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Pittman can't fight it off and eventually Junior manages to take the fight to the floor. Pittman looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

It looks like Junior might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Junior stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pittman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Junior makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Junior controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pittman has momentary wrist control but Junior slips an elbow through the middle.
Junior controlling from the top position.
Junior pushes down on Pittman's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Junior controlling the pace.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pittman on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Junior winds up and cracks Pittman with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Junior is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Junior scores with a couple of good hammerfists.


Pittman is rocked!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nurmagomedov Junior dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Pittman tries to sprawl but Junior drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Oh Pittman is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Junior keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Junior looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pittman with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Pittman is looking to get back to full guard here but Junior has managed to pass to side control instead.
Pittman takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
A big shot lands for Junior! That's hurt Pittman! Will he recover? Junior fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nurmagomedov Junior!
Nurmagomedov Junior was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
