PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nueng Shed Kao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jumba Laya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shed Kao comes to the cage accompanied by http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91Q3Pg0Zuko. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nueng Shed Kao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jumba Laya!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shed Kao tries to close the distance and clinch up but Laya swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Laya circles away from the clinch attempt.
Laya changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shed Kao looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Laya tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Laya has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Shed Kao pushes Laya away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Laya gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Laya has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Shed Kao!
Shed Kao is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Laya is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Shed Kao is surviving well by controlling Laya's body position as best he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shed Kao is trying to stand up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Laya with a couple of short strikes.
Laya content just to control the position here.
Shed Kao has left one of his arms exposed and Laya doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Shed Kao screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
