The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cubio shoots in looking for a takedown. Stokes tries to sprawl out of it but Cubio keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stokes manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cubio misses with a takedown
and Stokes counters with a nice low kick that buckles Cubio's knee momentarily.
Stokes is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Cubio shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Stokes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Stokes is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cubio pulls his head out easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Stokes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Stokes holds on and takes a little breather.

Cubio dives in and grabs Stokes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stokes pushes down on Cubio's head and hops out.

Stokes looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cubio with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Stokes is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cubio is just riding it out for now. Stokes eventually gives up the hold.

That was a close round but I would say that Lindsay Stokes will probably get the nod.

Stokes has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Cubio looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Stokes tries to roll over but Cubio keeps him under control.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cubio in particular looking to stall.

Stokes closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Cubio scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Stokes manages to mount him!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Stokes throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Our spies down at at Cozad Amsterdam inform us that Cubio has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Cubio might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Stokes haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
