Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carl Sands (ranked 4181 p4p, 129 weight class) and Paul Starker (ranked 3384 p4p, 161 weight class). Sands comes to the cage accompanied by Hip Hop - By: Dead Prez. Starker is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Catrin O'Neill - Ar Lan Y Mor. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sands works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Starker moves into range and clinches up with Sands.
Starker gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like Carl Sands has been cut.

Sands works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Sands passes Starker's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Sands passes the guard and advances to mount!
Sands fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Starker defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Sands.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sands connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Starker is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
A nice elbow there by Sands.
Sands looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Sands is landing with some decent strikes but Starker is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Sands is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Starker to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Starker shrugs it off.

Sands is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Starker is surviving well by controlling Sands's body position as best he can.

The referee warns Starker that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Sands postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Starker in real trouble here! The ref calls for Starker to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carl Sands!
After winning the bout, Carl Sands thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
In defeat, Paul Starker stepped up to the mic, saying 'I`LL BE BACK@#$%!'.
