Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Scot Hines (ranked 24541 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kendo Flowers (ranked 5443 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Scot Hines!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kendo Flowers!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hines tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hines scores with a jab to the body.
A jab from Flowers misses.
Flowers shoots in looking for a takedown. Hines tries to sprawl out of it but Flowers keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hines manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hines keeps the fight on the outside.
Flowers keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Flowers tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hines defends well and Flowers ends up having to push Hines into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hines swats away the attempt to clinch by Flowers.
Hines tries to counter with a takedown but Flowers is quick to defend against it.
Flowers looks to land a combination but Hines avoids it well.
Flowers should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Flowers throws a push kick but Hines slaps the foot to one side.

Hines gets caught napping as Flowers dives in and scores a takedown. Hines manages to retain guard.
Flowers missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Flowers wants to get up but he can't break Hines's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hines is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Flowers is aware though and is defending well.
Hines keeping moving, preventing Flowers from controlling successfully.

Hines escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Flowers gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Flowers preventing the sweep.
Flowers pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hines is keeping the position for now.
Hines really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Flowers looking to sit in guard and control but Hines gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Flowers is trying to keep Hines in close.

Hines stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Flowers throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Hines drives through with a takedown into guard.
Flowers bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hines's guard.

Flowers wants to pass the guard but Hines is keeping the position.

Flowers trying to control but Hines is working from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hines has Flowers pulled in close to control his posture.
Hines has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Scot Hines will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Flowers shoots in for a takedown but Hines shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Hines tries to keep at a distance but Flowers has taken the fight into the clinch.
Flowers is trying to maintain a safe position but Hines gets an underhook and turns Flowers into the cage.
Flowers tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hines just stands there and leans against the cage.
Flowers jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hines walks away with a smile on his face. Flowers gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Scot Hines has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kendo Flowers.
Hines throws a series of punches but Flowers avoids them all with ease.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Flowers wants to clinch.
Hines throws a low kick but Flowers moves out of range easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Flowers looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Hines appears to be looking for a big counter.
Flowers dives in and grabs Hines's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hines pushes down on Flowers's head and hops out.
Hines misses with a low kick.
Hines avoids the head kick by Flowers.
Hines went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Hines throws a sloppy head kick and Flowers moves out of range easily.
Flowers fails with a takedown attempt.
Flowers is breathing heavily.
Flowers fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hines manages to avoid it.

Hines closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Flowers explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Scot Hines is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hines misses with a double jab.
And Flowers tries to counter it with a takedown but Hines pushes his down on his head and steps out.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Flowers.

A head kick misses from Flowers.
Hines misses with a low kick.

Flowers gets tackled into the cage by Hines. Hines maintains the clinch.

Hines ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hines no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Hines has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Flowers is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hines.

Hines is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Hines is not content to let Flowers control the position.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Flowers has eaten all the pies!
Hines is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Flowers is looking to take a break and control but Hines is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hines tries to buck Flowers off but Flowers is having none of it.
Hines takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Hines dodges the ground and pound from Flowers.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Flowers looks up at the clock and then as Hines takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Flowers smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Hines wants to control but Flowers postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Kendo Flowers will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Flowers tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hines paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hines defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Flowers.
Hines appears to be looking for a big counter.
Flowers shoots in but Hines avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hines tries to work over Flowers's front leg with a kick but Flowers checks it.
Flowers raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Flowers goes for a double leg but Hines avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hines continues to drive forward.
Hines fires out a quick counter leg kick but Flowers just manages to avoid it.
Scot Hines has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kendo Flowers.

Hines looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hines lands a nice short elbow.
Kendo Flowers has got the better of the ground game so far.

Hines is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Flowers has managed to free his arm - good work.
Flowers takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Flowers is trying to control but Hines manages to pass to mount!

Flowers defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Hines.
Flowers is looking to get to half guard.
Hines scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Hines lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Flowers hang on?

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Hines has hold of Flowers's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Flowers manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Flowers is bucking up trying to escape but Hines cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
The referee warns Flowers that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Flowers wants to control but Hines is having none of it.
Hines with the ground and pound from mount.

Hines jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Flowers is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Flowers and Hines has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Flowers tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Hines looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Flowers is looking to reverse the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Hines tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Hines wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Flowers, who protects the arm well.
Flowers sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hines seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Scot Hines showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Hines has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
