Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daley Hitchen (ranked 5322 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Bronco (ranked 5407 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Daley Hitchen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Johnny Bronco!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bronco misses with a leg kick
and Hitchen counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Hitchen moves into the clinch.

Hitchen breaks the clinch.
Daley Hitchen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hitchen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bronco sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Bronco fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hitchen, pushing him back against the cage.

Hitchen pulls guard successfully.
Hitchen thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Hitchen keeping moving, preventing Bronco from controlling successfully.
Hitchen trying to keep a closed guard but Bronco is proving a slippery customer.

Bronco has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hitchen is proving hard to escape from.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Hitchen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Bronco closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Hitchen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hitchen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bronco sprawls well. Bronco wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hitchen gets slowly back to his feet.
Bronco is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Hitchen lands a nice shot to the body.
Hitchen connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Bronco throws a sloppy head kick and Hitchen moves out of range easily.

Hitchen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bronco defends well.

Hitchen has his foot on Bronco's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bronco works his way back into a safe position though.
Hitchen is breathing heavily.
Bronco is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Hitchen looking for a sweep. Not yet Hitchen, not yet.
Bronco wants to control from the top but Hitchen keeps moving.
Bronco slips nicely into half guard.
Bronco is looking to take a break and control but Hitchen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bronco is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Bronco pushes Hitchen up against the cage in a clinch.
Hitchen is defending well against a takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Daley Hitchen will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Hitchen shoots in looking for a takedown but Bronco manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hitchen's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
No luck for Hitchen with that takedown attempt.

and Hitchen counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hitchen throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bronco is trying to force a seperation but Hitchen has the dominant position.
Bronco tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hitchen smiles and moves away.
Bronco gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Hitchen counters with a nice body shot.
Daley Hitchen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Bronco.

Bronco shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hitchen sprawls well. Hitchen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bronco gets slowly back to his feet.

Bronco closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hitchen quickly recovers to half guard.
Hitchen trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Bronco jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Hitchen is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Hitchen and Bronco has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

You can see the frustration on Hitchen's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Bronco wants to control for a moment but Hitchen uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Bronco is trying to control the action in half guard but Hitchen is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Bronco is taking a breather. Hitchen says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Bronco wants to stand but Hitchen has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hitchen has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Bronco trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hitchen's guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Hitchen looks for a takedown but Bronco sprawls well.

Bronco drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bronco is trying to get an arm triangle but Hitchen is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Daley Hitchen will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Hitchen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bronco is one step ahead there.

Bronco postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hitchen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bronco, into his guard.

Bronco is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hitchen is controlling him.

Hitchen trying to control the position from guard on top but Bronco is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bronco looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Hitchen has picked Bronco up and slammed him! Bronco can't keep hold of the triangle and Hitchen manages to pass to side control!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bronco is trying to get back to half guard.
Hitchen wants to take a breather but Bronco manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Hitchen.

Hitchen looking to sit in guard and control but Bronco gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Hitchen is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Bronco jumps guard but Hitchen stands there with Bronco around his waist. Bronco gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hitchen looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Bronco misses with a knee to the head.

Hitchen is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Bronco tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Hitchen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bronco just stands there and leans against the cage.
Hitchen prevents Bronco from breaking the clinch.
Bronco wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Hitchen has had enough of the clinch but Bronco keeps him there for the moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bronco wants to get back to striking at distance but Hitchen won't allow it.

Hitchen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Johnny Bronco has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Daley Hitchen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Bronco with a poor takedown
and Hitchen counters with a head kick. That will keep Bronco thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

And that's the end of the fight!
Daley Hitchen showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hitchen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
