The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Sergei Dronov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Waller misses
and Nomnomnom counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Waller makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Waller tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nomnomnom defends well and Waller ends up having to push Nomnomnom into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Good leg kick by Waller there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Nomnomnom takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Waller moves into the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nomnomnom pulls guard.
Waller throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nomnomnom works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Waller drops back looking for a leg! Nomnomnom is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Nomnomnom manages to kick Waller off! Waller jumps back into Nomnomnom's guard.

Nomnomnom is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Waller is controlling him.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Waller clinches up against the cage.

Nomnomnom cracks Waller with a solid left hand.
Nomnomnom with a nice head shot there.
Nomnomnom working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Waller is trying to keep Nomnomnom in close.
Waller really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...
Waller escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nomnomnom gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Nomnomnom content to stall in guard here.
Nomnomnom trying to control but Waller is working from the bottom.
Waller striking off his back but it's not causing Nomnomnom any problems.
Nomnomnom postures up and lands a big shot to Waller's brow.
Waller looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Waller is breathing heavily.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Nomnomnom's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nomnomnom loads up on a big left hand. Waller felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Nomnomnom looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Waller can't hide his disappointment, as Nomnomnom celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Khalabib Nomnomnom!
