The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gignac fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Key, pushing him back against the cage.
Key blocks an elbow strike from Gignac.
Gignac lands a damaging elbow.

It looks like Margarito Key has been cut.
With the fighters up against the cage, Gignac throws an elbow but misses.
Key really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Gignac takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Key pulls guard.
Gignac wants to stand but Key is controlling his posture from full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gignac gets to his feet. Key looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Gignac moves into the clinch successfully.
Nice elbow from Gignac.
Key jumps guard but Gignac stands there with Key around his waist. Key gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Gignac lands an elbow inside.

Margarito Key's cut is getting worse.
Gignac lands an elbow inside that Key shrugs off.

Key successfully pulls guard.
Gignac trying to stand up but can't free himself from Key's guard.
Key will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Gignac has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Key is proving hard to escape from.
