PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Harri Hasardeur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cesc Fabregas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fabregas misses with a few strikes there.
Fabregas looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hasardeur swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hasardeur throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Fabregas connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Fabregas has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hasardeur can't break the clinch.
Hasardeur is looking to break free of the clinch but Fabregas has double underhooks.
Hasardeur's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Fabregas bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hasardeur's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fabregas is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fabregas accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Fabregas drops back looking for a leg! Hasardeur is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hasardeur manages to kick Fabregas off! Fabregas jumps back into Hasardeur's guard.

That's time! Hasardeur's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Hasardeur misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hasardeur ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fabregas moves away.
Harri Hasardeur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hasardeur wants to clinch but Fabregas slips to the side

and Fabregas counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Fabregas scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Fabregas is landing with some decent strikes but Hasardeur is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fabregas postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hasardeur looks a forlorn figure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Fabregas looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Hasardeur knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fabregas on the ground.

Fabregas throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Fabregas jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Hasardeur manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Fabregas wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hasardeur, who protects the arm well.
Hasardeur is looking to regain half guard here but Fabregas keeps moving and retains side control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Fabregas misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Fabregas looks up at the clock and then as Hasardeur takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Fabregas smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Cesc Fabregas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
