Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hugo Pittman (ranked 25048 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Josefi (ranked 5445 p4p, 0 weight class). Josefi has chosen I beat my dick as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hugo Pittman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Terry Josefi!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Donatello Bradman and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pittman shoots in and drives through. Josefi sprawls well.

Josefi throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Pittman tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Josefi is in Pittman's guard.
Josefi trying to control the position from guard on top but Pittman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Josefi wants to pass the guard but Pittman is keeping the position.
Pittman keeping moving, preventing Josefi from controlling successfully.
Josefi tries to free his leg and advance position but Pittman is retaining full guard.
Josefi is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Josefi slips nicely into half guard.

Pittman is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Josefi pulls his head out easily.
Josefi moves nicely into side control.

Josefi is trying to get an arm triangle but Pittman is defending well.

Pittman tries to escape but Josefi is in control.

Josefi tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Josefi wants to stand but Pittman has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.
Josefi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pittman keeping moving, preventing Josefi from controlling successfully.
Josefi is pushing down on Pittman's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pittman is fighting to maintain full guard but Josefi has managed to sneak the leg through.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Josefi is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Pittman reverses the position - he's now on top in Josefi's guard.
Josefi is trying to control the position but Pittman postures up.
Josefi wants to hit a switch here but Pittman passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Josefi there!
Pittman blocks Josefi's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Pittman wants to control the pace but Josefi is squirming around nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pittman is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Josefi can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Josefi wants to hold on but Pittman pushes him away.
Josefi is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Pittman is staying active.
Pittman lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Josefi wants to control but Pittman is having none of it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Hugo Pittman will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Josefi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Pittman gets tackled into the cage by Josefi. Josefi maintains the clinch.

Pittman is fighting off a takedown attempt but Josefi is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Pittman to the mat. Pittman regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Pittman is wriggling around but Josefi manages to pass to half guard.

Pittman is looking to escape.
Josefi is looking to pass Pittman's guard but actually Pittman recovers to full guard.
Josefi advances to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Josefi tries to stand and escape but Pittman is controlling the position.

Josefi tries to pass the half guard into mount. Pittman knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Terry Josefi has got the better of the ground game so far.
Josefi trying to advance position but Pittman counters by regaining guard.
Josefi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pittman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Josefi passes Pittman's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Josefi is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Pittman reverses the position - he's now on top in Josefi's guard.
Josefi wants to get back to his feet but Pittman passes into half guard.

Pittman not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Pittman throwing shots but Josefi is blocking nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Josefi can do anything to dispel that myth.
Pittman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Pittman is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Josefi tries to roll over but Pittman keeps him under control.
Josefi trying to control but Pittman postures up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Josefi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Pittman fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Josefi to the ground. Pittman is now in Josefi's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hugo Pittman will probably get the nod.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Josefi wants to get back to his feet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Pittman falls off balance throwing a combination

and Josefi counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Josefi moves nicely into side control.
Josefi takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Josefi wants to stand but Pittman has his arm trapped.

Josefi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Josefi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Josefi wants to control for a moment but Pittman uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Josefi is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pittman is just riding it out for now. Josefi eventually gives up the hold.

Josefi is trying to work for a kimura but Pittman is defending well.
Pittman wants to get back to his feet.
Josefi is pressing down on Pittman's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pittman is holding on for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Josefi blocks the strikes from Pittman.
Pittman wants to get back to his feet.
Josefi landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Josefi wants to pass to mount but Pittman is defending the position.
Pittman tries to kick Josefi off but Josefi keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Josefi passes to side control.
Pittman tries to bench press Josefi off him but Josefi keeps the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Terry Josefi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Pittman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
