The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sigthordisson jabs Mukafi right on the nose. Mukafi blinks but takes it well.
It looks like Khali Mukafi has been cut.
The crowd cheers as Sigthordisson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mukafi doesn't seem phased though.
Sigthordisson tests Mukafi's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Mukafi fails with the takedown.

That has opened up Khali Mukafi's cut even more.

and Sigthordisson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mukafi tries to move into range but Sigthordisson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Sigthordisson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mukafi's head backwards.

Sigthordisson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Horrible takedown attempt by Mukafi or perhaps it was just good defense by Sigthordisson, which made it look bad.
Mukafi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sigthordisson defends it nicely.
Mukafi takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Sigthordisson lands a jab to the head.
Mukafi takes one to the chin there.
The cut above Khali Mukafi's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Mukafi on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Sigthordisson connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Mukafi tumbling to the canvas! Sigthordisson pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Mukafi was done - good stoppage!
