Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eat Hand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dilbert The D (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Eat Hand!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dilbert The D!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The D slips a jab and a cross from Hand.
The D shoots in but no luck this time.
The D fails with a takedown attempt.
Hand takes one on the chin but seems OK.
The D shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hand but Hand pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Eat Hand has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dilbert The D.
Hand tries for a takedown but The D circles away easily

so The D counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Hand throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The D tries to free his leg and advance position but Hand is retaining full guard.
Hand is trying to keep The D in close.

Hand will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The D passes into half guard.
Hand trying to hold on to The D's head to control him but The D postures up.
Hand manages to get to full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hand looking to control.
Hand looking to hit a scissor sweep but The D is one step ahead there.
The D slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Hand wants to improve his position but instead The D has moved into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hand has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. The D is working away from the top position though.
Hand is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
The D tries for a takedown but Hand circles away easily

and Hand counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for The D!
The D looks gassed!
Hand lands a big elbow.
Hand tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Hand moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, The D has worked his arm free - good work by The D!
Hand wants to control but The D is keeping him busy.
The D tries to bench press Hand off him but Hand keeps the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Eat Hand will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Hand misses with a takedown

and The D counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hand's guard now.
Hand working a defensive guard here.
The D slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hand working a defensive guard but The D manages to pass into side control anyway.
Hand is letting The D control him for a moment.

Hand looks to move to half guard but instead The D has passed into mount! Damn!
The D avoids the attempt from Hand to control.
Hand is trying desperately to improve position.

The D goes for an armbar but Hand turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Hand.
The D is breathing heavily.
Hand trying to control the position from guard on top but The D is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The D controls Hand momentarily but Hand frees himself.
Hand wants to get up but he can't break The D's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Hand passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Hand taking a break here but The D is having none of it and regains half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hand is thwarting The D's attempts to control the position.
The D is refusing to be controlled, as Hand sits in half guard.
Hand is thwarting The D's attempts to control the position.
The D is looking to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hand works his way into side control.
Dilbert The D has got the better of the ground game so far.

Hand decides to stand up, so the ref orders The D to his feet.
The D shoots for a takedown but Hand saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Hand closes the distance and pushes The D back into the cage.

Hand pulls The D into guard.
Hand controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Dilbert The D will probably get the nod - 10:9.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Hand pulls The D in to control the position.
Hand wants to improve his position but instead The D has moved into half guard.
The D is taking a breather. Hand says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Hand slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The D trying to control the position from guard on top but Hand is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hand pulls The D in to control the position.
Hand wants to hit a switch here but The D passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Hand there!
Hand wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Hand is in bad spot here.
Good control from The D.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The D tries to keep control of the position but Hand is staying busy.
Hand has hold of The D's arm. He needs to escape this position sooner or later but for now he's happy enough to control the position and prevent the submission attempts.
Hand tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
The D trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Hand is looking to get to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hand wants to control but The D is having none of it.
Hand is working to get back to half guard.
Hand tries to control The D's body but The D pushes him off. Hand squirms to his side and now The D has his back!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hand trying to control the action but The D just sinks the hooks in.
The D misses with a punch to the head.
Hand wants to control his opponent's hands but The D gets his hands free.
The D is trying to stick to Hand's back but Hand is turning into The D. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in The D's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Hand.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Eat Hand just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dilbert The D comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think The D has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
