The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Anderson.

Walsh clinches up against the cage.
Anderson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Anderson gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Walsh pushes Anderson off and scrambles back to his feet.

Anderson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Walsh's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Walsh pulls Anderson in to control the position.
Anderson prevents Walsh from getting back to his feet.
Walsh looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Anderson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Walsh tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Anderson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

What's Walsh going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.

Walsh is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Anderson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Anderson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Walsh keeps working.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Anderson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Walsh tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

A close round but Jack Anderson will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Walsh has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Anderson is trying to keep an underhook but Walsh manages to get the takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Anderson wants to break free but Walsh has control.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Walsh takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
