Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Robert Bruce (ranked 23153 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Pablos (ranked 3788 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pablos goes for a double leg but Bruce avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bruce continues to drive forward.
Bruce throws a body kick that misses.
Bruce throws out a loose jab but Pablos uses good head movement to avoid it.
Pablos shoots for a takedown but Bruce saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bruce displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pablos.
Robert Bruce has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pablo Pablos.
A slow jab from Bruce misses its intended target.
Bruce looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Bruce throws a left and a right that both miss
and Pablos counters with a slapping leg kick.

Pablos gets a double leg takedown into Bruce's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bruce wants to get back to his feet but Pablos is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Pablos thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Pablos pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bruce is keeping the position for now.

Pablos drops back looking for a leg! Bruce is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bruce manages to kick Pablos off! Pablos jumps back into Bruce's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pablos stands and throws Bruce's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Bruce pushes Pablos away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Pablos gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Pablos wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bruce, who protects the arm well.

Pablos working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Pablos is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bruce knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Pablos thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Pablos has hold of Bruce's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Bruce tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Pablos cranks the arm and Bruce screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Bruce, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
