The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight stays on the outside here - Love looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Rupin uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Rupin has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Harry Rupin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Love takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Rupin throws a leg kick but Love sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Love appears to be looking for a big counter.

Rupin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Love sneaks back into half guard.
Rupin working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Love's thigh. Love counters though and makes it back to full guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Love working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rupin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rupin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Rupin avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Love lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Rupin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Rupin moves into range and clinches up with Love.
Love has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Rupin uses from the top position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rupin tries to kick Love off in order to stand up. Love Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Rupin is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Long Love overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Love tries for a kimura but Rupin is defending well.
Love is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rupin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Rupin is looking for a sweep.
Love tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Love will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Love has an Americana. Rupin didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Love is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Love hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
