Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Allen clinches.
Vazquez really is a fat lump.
Allen blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Vazquez takes a shot to the head.
A right hand to the body from Allen.
A short uppercut from Allen.
Allen is trying to push Vazquez away but Vazquez has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Allen lands a right hand that snaps the head of Vazquez backwards.
A frustrated look appears on Allen's face as he tries to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Allen.
Vazquez keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Allen's efforts to push away.
Allen lands with a right to the head.

Allen working aggressively here.
Vazquez is trying to push Allen away but Allen has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Vazquez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Allen walks away with a smile on his face. Vazquez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Vazquez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Allen moves into the clinch.
A short body shot lands from Allen as the two fighters clinch.
Allen gets through Vazquez's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Vazquez blocking some punches.
Vazquez keeps control of Allen as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Vazquez blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Vazquez blocks the elbow strike.
Allen throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Allen wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Vazquez manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Vazquez wants to stand up but Allen is controlling him.
Vazquez keeping moving, preventing Allen from controlling successfully.
Allen missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Allen not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Allen stands up from Vazquez's guard - Allen perhaps looking for a knockout.

Vazquez gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Allen pushes Vazquez back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Vazquez changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Allen fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Allen clinches up with Vazquez and pushes him back against the cage.

Allen jumps guard.

Allen working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Vazquez has passed into half guard!

Vazquez is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Allen is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Vazquez scores with a couple of nice shots.

Vazquez is working for a submission of some sort.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Vazquez is looking for a kimura here.
Allen keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Allen can do anything to dispel that myth.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Vazquez has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Allen defend it? Vazquez steps over the head and cranks it - Allen is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Vazquez!
