Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Josh Sanders!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Borre Borresen!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanders clinches up with Borresen and pushes him back against the cage.
Borresen can't get the takedown.

Sanders decides to pull guard.
Borresen's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Borresen won't allow Sanders to get back to his feet.
Sanders keeping full guard, as Borresen tries to pass.

Borresen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sanders is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Borresen, into his guard.

Sanders stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Borresen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sanders trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Borresen pulls Sanders in close to prevent any damage.
Sanders seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Sanders throws a big right hand that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sanders content to stall in guard here.
Borresen has a closed guard, preventing Sanders from standing up.
Sanders controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Sanders content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Borresen pushes a forearm under Sanders's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Sanders is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Borre Borresen!
