The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boy misses with the combination.
A quick step to the side and Adkins tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
No joy there for Boy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Boy lands a right hook to the body.
Adkins looks to score with a jab to the body but Boy is just out of range.

Adkins shoots in and bounces Boy off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Adkins's corner is telling him to maintain position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boy looking to control.
Adkins seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Boy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Adkins is controlling him.
Boy can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Adkins controls the pace.

Boy looking for a guillotine here but Adkins defends easily.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Boy with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Boy throws a right hand that Adkins ducks under and follows up with a left that Adkins also avoids with ease.
Boy throws a leg kick which misses Adkins's front leg but catches the back leg as Adkins tries to avoid it.
Boy throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Big Boy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Adkins is breathing heavily.

Boy drops Adkins with a beautiful combination! Adkins stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Boy is looking for the KO!

Adkins is rocked!

It looks like Garrett Adkins has been cut.
Adkins walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Adkins limp body while Boy jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
