Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edwin Marquez (ranked 4108 p4p, 476 weight class) and Trenton Grechov (ranked 3519 p4p, 426 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Edwin Marquez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Trenton Grechov!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Konstantin Menshow and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grechov with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Marquez to score with a decent uppercut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Grechov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Marquez thinks about countering with a body kick.
Grechov wants to clinch up but Marquez keeps it at a distance.

Grechov darts in and clinches Marquez up against the cage.
Grechov on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Marquez is pushing Grechov up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Grechov lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Marquez backwards.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Marquez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Marquez circles away from the clinch attempt.
Marquez moves away from the strike by Grechov.
Marquez has been working on his boxing with his coaches at CCF Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Grechov lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Grechov drops Marquez with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Marquez looks back up at him and smiles so Grechov waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Marquez is aggressively charging in as Grechov backs up avoiding any damage. Grechov tosses out a jab and Marquez runs right into it face first! Marquez is out cold! Grechov dropped down on all fours and is barking in Marquez's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Trenton Grechov!
