Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Renato Gracie (ranked 2066 p4p, 241 weight class) and Black Rain (ranked 1667 p4p, 196 weight class). Rain has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Renato Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Black Rain!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Rain scores with a crisp jab that stopped Gracie in his tracks.
Rain lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gracie circles away quickly and effectively.
Rain throws a looping overhand right but Gracie ducks down to avoid it.
Rain throws a jab when Gracie was well out of range.
Gracie misses with a jab, cross combination.
Rain lands with a nice body punch.
Gracie swings for the body but Rain moves out of range.
Rain misses with a body kick.
Gracie stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Gracie takes one on the button.
Rain throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gracie moves out of range as Rain throws a body kick.
Gracie throws a predictable looking body shot
and Rain connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've been told by Gracie's head coaches at The Takeover that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Black Rain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie ducks under a wild hook from Rain.
It appears Gracie was looking to counter with a kick there.
Gracie misses with an attempted mid kick.
Rain tries a head kick but it misses.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Gracie.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie misses with a low kick.
Rain throws a looping overhand right but Gracie ducks down to avoid it.
Rain connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Gracie momentarily.
Rain looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Rain swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Gracie counters with a nice body shot.
A nice combination there by Rain.
Nice jab there from Gracie.
Gracie lands a head shot.
Gracie gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Rain.
Rain missing with a left hand there. Gracie was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Gracie throws a big counter combination but Rain scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gracie cracks Rain with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Gracie has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Rain to stand back up!

Rain is still on wobbly legs! Can Gracie finish him?
Rain moves out of range as Gracie strikes.
Rain changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

A little feinted left hand from Gracie on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Rain seems to have recovered his senses.

Rain looks to land a left hand but Gracie moved out of range nicely.
Rain throws a jab when Gracie was well out of range.
Renato Gracie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rain misses with a hook.
And Gracie counters with a quick kick to the body but Rain blocks it.
Gracie throws a half hearted mid kick.
Gracie avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gracie misses with a leg kick
enabling Rain to counter with a crisp jab.
Gracie scores with a kick to the midsection.
A shot to the body from Gracie misses
letting Rain counter with a right hand.
Rain does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Rain throws a hook but Gracie avoids it easily.
Gracie takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Rain shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gracie as he jumps to the side.
An attempted straight right counter from Gracie misses the target.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rain. Gracie does a little dance to reset his feet.
And Gracie counters with a quick kick to the body but Rain blocks it.
A low kick from Gracie misses
and Rain counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Gracie!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gracie manages to get back to half guard.
Gracie wants to get back to full guard.
Rain is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Rain sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Rain is looking to take a break and control but Gracie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Gracie trying to hold on to Rain's head to control him but Rain postures up.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rain looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Black Rain dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Gracie chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rain can pounce on him.
Gracie gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Rain.
Rain slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Rain throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Gracie uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rain.
Rain jabs Gracie right on the nose. Gracie blinks but takes it well.
Gracie avoids the body shot from Rain.
Rain fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Rain throws the left hand but Gracie avoids the punch easily.
Gracie blocks a low kick nicely.
Rain has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The fighters circle momentarily. Gracie darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Black Rain seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Rain misses with a few strikes there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gracie wants to land a leg kick but Rain is out of range.
Rain looks to land a left hand but Gracie moved out of range nicely.
Gracie tries to score with a low kick but Rain moves his leg out of the way.
That's one minute gone in the round.
No joy there for Rain, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rain takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Rain swings widly with a right hand
and Gracie counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Rain has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Renato Gracie!
Our winner, Renato Gracie, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
