Lashehly comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Attadude kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lashehly closes the distance and pushes Rodriquez back into the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Rodriquez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lashehly for as long as he can get away with.

Lashehly wants to stand but Rodriquez has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Rodriquez is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Lashehly stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rodriquez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gerry Rodriquez.
I think Rodriquez has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
