Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Thorn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Willson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Willson's choice of entrance music: Welcome to the Jungle. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Willson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Thorn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Willson on the ground.
Thorn avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Willson.

Willson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Thorn rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Willson's guard! Nice work there by Thorn!

Willson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Willson lands in his opponent's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Willson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Thorn as he avoids it easily.

Thorn throws a right and a left that Willson avoids nicely.

A close second round but Mike Willson will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Thorn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Thorn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Willson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Thorn but Thorn pushes him off and we're back to square one.
