Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wpierdziel leaves Ko Power with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A lazy left from Wpierdziel finds it's target.
Ko Power throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
It looked like Wpierdziel wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Wpierdziel avoids the head kick by Ko Power.
Ko Power moves away from the strike by Wpierdziel.
The fighters circling - Wpierdziel throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Wpierdziel catches Ko Power with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Ko Power wants to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wpierdziel swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ko Power tries to counter with a clinch but Wpierdziel shakes him off and moves away.
Ko Power dives in and grabs Wpierdziel's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wpierdziel pushes down on Ko Power's head and hops out.

Wpierdziel misses the shot to the body.
Ko Power unleashes a big counter combination but Wpierdziel bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Ko Power shoots in for a takedown but Wpierdziel shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Janusz Wpierdziel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pls Ko Power.

Wpierdziel looks to land a combination but Ko Power avoids it well.
Wpierdziel misses with an uppercut.
