Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Abram Sears!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, New Knee!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Hugh Johnson and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sears pushes Knee away with a front kick.
Sears throws a jab but it's blocked by Knee.
And Knee tries to counter it with a takedown but Sears pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Knee shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sears as he avoids it easily.

Knee gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Sears tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Sears manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Sears is working an open guard so Knee takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Knee closes the distance and pushes Sears back into the cage.
Sears tries to pull guard but Knee holds him up against the cage and eventually Sears drops back down to his feet.
Knee lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Sears backwards.

Sears jumps guard.
Sears controls Knee momentarily but Knee frees himself.
Knee content to stall in guard here.
Knee in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Sears keeping full guard, as Knee tries to pass.
Sears is trying to control the position but Knee postures up.

Knee gets to his feet. Sears looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Knee is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Knee gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Sears stalling in the clinch.

Sears has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Knee is trying to keep an underhook but Sears manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Knee kicks off Sears and gets to his feet.

Knee rushes Sears and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Sears pulls guard successfully.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Knee throwing strikes from guard but Sears blocks nicely.

Knee gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Knee closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sears circles away.
Sears fails in his attempt to clinch.

Knee has taken the fight to the clinch.
Sears tries to pull guard but Knee won't allow it.

Knee misses with a knee to the head.
Sears is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Knee to keep the fight standing.
Sears is breathing heavily.

Sears jumps guard and drags Knee to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Knee throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Knee working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Knee decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Knee throws a series of strikes that have Sears backpedaling.


It looks like Abram Sears has been cut.

Knee fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Knee lands a left and a right that send Sears crashing to the mat, dazed. Knee thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Sears is rocked!

Knee fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sears, pushing him back against the cage.
Oh Sears is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Knee breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sears seems to have got his legs back now.

Knee clinches.
Knee wants a takedown but no success here.
Sears jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Knee walks away with a smile on his face. Sears gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Abram Sears is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Knee throws a head kick that misses.
Sears really is a fat lump.

Knee closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Knee wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sears has him pressed against the cage.
Knee is trying to force a seperation but Sears has the dominant position.
Sears tries to pull guard but Knee won't allow it.

Sears pulls guard successfully.
Sears might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Knee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Knee is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Knee gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Knee throws a leg kick but Sears sees it coming and moves out of range.

Knee clinches.
Knee drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Sears gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Sears tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Knee just stands there and leans against the cage.

Knee manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Knee has his foot on Sears's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sears works his way back into a safe position though.
Knee working a defensive guard but Sears passes into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

New Knee dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Abram Sears's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Knee closes the distance and clinches.
Knee content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Sears fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Sears is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Knee to keep the fight standing.

Sears has Knee pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Sears pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Knee tumbling to the mat - Sears dives into Knee's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Knee manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Sears tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Knee smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Abram Sears. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sears checks the leg kick.
It looked like Sears was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Knee moves into the clinch successfully.
Sears wants to break free but Knee has control.
Sears prevents the takedown attempt.
Sears tries to pull guard but Knee forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
New Knee seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Knee is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Sears is defending well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Sears tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Knee just stands there and leans against the cage.
Sears prevents the takedown attempt.

Knee has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Sears is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Knee manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Knee is trying to break free.
Knee tries to break the clinch but Sears is controlling the position.
Sears pushes Knee back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Knee has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Sears after a bit of a struggle.
Sears stops a takedown attempt from Knee.
Knee wants to break free but Sears has control.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Knee. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Sears jumps guard but Knee stands there with Sears around his waist. Sears gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Knee manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Knee has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Knee lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Sears tries to close the distance and clinch up but Knee swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Sears has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Knee avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

New Knee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sears looks to land a body kick but Knee moved away.
Knee cracks Sears with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Knee has closed the distance and engaged Sears in a clinch.
Sears tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Sears jumps guard but Knee stands there with Sears around his waist. Sears gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Knee has Sears pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sears manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Sears has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Sears tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Knee is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Sears is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Knee has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sears uses from the top position.

Knee scrambles and gets back to his feet.

No joy there for Sears, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Knee misses with a low kick.
Knee works over Sears's head and body with a nice combination.
Knee misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Sears ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sears no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Knee thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Knee slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Knee is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Knee stands and throws Sears's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Knee tries to score with some ground and pound. Sears controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Sears is trying to improve his position.

Knee stands up.
Knee shoots in but Sears avoids the takedown attempt easily.
New Knee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knee throws a sloppy head kick and Sears moves out of range easily.
Knee looks for a takedown but Sears sprawls well.
A low kick from Sears misses
and Knee counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Knee closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sears to the mat! Sears manages to get full guard.

Sears pushes Knee off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Sears misses with an uppercut. Knee saw that one coming.
Sears is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Knee.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Knee closes the distance and pushes Sears back into the cage.
Sears has Knee pressed against the cage, preventing Knee from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Sears is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Knee changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sears fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Knee takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Abram Sears has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
New Knee is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Knee instigates a clinch.

New Knee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Knee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
