PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Garret Woodard (ranked 5417 p4p, 0 weight class) and Break YerJaw (ranked 7169 p4p, 0 weight class). Break YerJaw told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

YerJaw stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and YerJaw wants it to stay on the feet.
YerJaw shoots in and drives through. Woodard sprawls well.

A frustrated look appears on YerJaw's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Woodard escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
YerJaw goes for a double leg but Woodard avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Woodard continues to drive forward.

Woodard uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before YerJaw has time to react.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Woodard accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Garret Woodard overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

YerJaw fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Woodard avoids it really well and circles away.

YerJaw has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Woodard is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Woodard bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in YerJaw's guard.

Woodard drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Woodard jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Break YerJaw seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Woodard is on the wrong end of a nice combination from YerJaw.

Woodard get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Woodard stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but YerJaw runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
