Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnathan Parker (ranked 5505 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gill Fabron (ranked 5322 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gill Fabron!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fabron closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Fabron turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Fabron manages to end up in side control.
Parker really is a fat lump.
Fabron trying to control the position but Parker is working away.
Parker tries to get back to half guard but can't.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fabron thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Fabron is just content to waste time from the top position. Parker takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Fabron is trying to control. Parker wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Fabron is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Parker is not content to let Fabron control the position.
Parker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fabron on the ground.

Fabron is looking for a kimura here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Parker had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Fabron defends it easily.
Fabron slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Parker closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Fabron's guard.
Parker lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Gill Fabron has got the better of the ground game so far.
Parker is looking to stand up but Fabron won't let him.
Parker throws a strike but Fabron rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Fabron wants to pass the guard but Parker is keeping the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Parker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fabron doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fabron manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Parker is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Fabron is controlling him.

Fabron might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Parker haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Fabron looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Parker is not content to let Fabron control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Parker feints and as Fabron raises his hands in defense, Parker changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Fabron. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Parker controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Fabron is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Parker postures up.

Fabron escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Parker gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Fabron has his foot on Parker's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Parker works his way back into a safe position though.

Fabron manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Parker manages to get himself to full guard.

Fabron sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Parker's guard.
Fabron is looking to advance position but Parker won't allow it.
Parker is looking for a sweep. Fabron is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Fabron is looking to stall here but Parker recovers full guard.

A close second round but Gill Fabron will probably get the nod - 10:9.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Fabron drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Parker manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Fabron has Parker in his guard.

Parker makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fabron looking to hit a scissor sweep but Parker is one step ahead there.
Parker engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Parker scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Parker lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Parker postures up and lands a big shot to Fabron's brow.
Parker is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Fabron is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fabron is on top in guard.

Fabron got a little sloppy there for a moment and Parker has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fabron has managed to get both his arms back between Parker's legs - danger averted.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Fabron trying to control the position from guard on top but Parker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Parker looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Fabron forces his way into half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Fabron is trying to control. Parker wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Gill Fabron is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Fabron slows the pace down in half guard.
Fabron wants to take a breather but Parker is having none of it.
Fabron has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Parker avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Fabron.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Fabron fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Parker, pushing him back against the cage.
Parker manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Parker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Johnathan Parker.
I think Fabron has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
