Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Allan Coyoca (ranked 1025 p4p, 132 weight class) and Iikka Runnisto (ranked 1228 p4p, 153 weight class). Runnisto has chosen Alta Pois - Sie sua näkköös! as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 wins, 8 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of Amsterdam, Allan Coyoca!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 wins, 13 losses and 1 draws, fighting out of Helsinki, Iikka Runnisto!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coyoca fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
The crowd cheers as Runnisto lands an impressive looking overhand right. Coyoca doesn't seem phased though.
A solid leg kick lands there for Runnisto.
Coyoca drops his hands momentarily and Runnisto takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Runnisto throws the left hand but Coyoca avoids the punch easily.
Coyoca definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Runnisto scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Runnisto lands a nice hook to Coyoca's body. Coyoca takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Runnisto has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Coyoca, as that shot connected.

Runnisto stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Runnisto wants it to stay on the feet.
Coyoca uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Runnisto.
Runnisto looks to land a left hand but Coyoca moved out of range nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from Coyoca. Runnisto does a little dance to reset his feet.

As Runnisto looks to move away, Coyoca throws a big counter combo but Runnisto just gets out of the way.

Iikka Runnisto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Coyoca bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Coyoca lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
The crowd cheers as Runnisto lands an impressive looking overhand right. Coyoca doesn't seem phased though.

A little jabbing left from Runnisto on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Runnisto stalks Coyoca and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Coyoca's face. Coyoca staggers backwards, shaken.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Coyoca tries to close the distance and clinch but Runnisto swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Coyoca takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Iikka Runnisto is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Coyoca takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Coyoca shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Coyoca was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Coyoca is nestled in close to Runnisto, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Runnisto lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Allan Coyoca.
I think Runnisto has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
