The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Villanueva looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Alves throws a nice outside leg kick.
Oooh a lovely combination from Alves sends Villanueva down but not out. Alves dives into side control looking to finish.

Alves works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Villanueva seems to have got his legs back now.

Alves has hold of Villanueva's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Villanueva seems comfortable defending it but Alves has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Villanueva is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Villanueva is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Alves couldn't care less - he's delighted!
