Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Broderick Cunningham (ranked 24916 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reggie Wallace Jr (ranked 5615 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Broderick Cunningham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Reggie Wallace Jr!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace Jr dives in and grabs Cunningham's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cunningham pushes down on Wallace Jr's head and hops out.
Cunningham drops down looking for a counter takedown but Wallace Jr sprawls and moves away.
Both fighters circling a little - Wallace Jr finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Wallace Jr lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.


It looks like Broderick Cunningham has been cut.
Wallace Jr shoots in but Cunningham avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Wallace Jr darts in and clinches Cunningham up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cunningham tries to circle away but Wallace Jr has him pinned against the cage.

Wallace Jr gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Cunningham regains guard.

Cunningham pushes Wallace Jr off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cunningham is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Cunningham lands a couple of elbows.
Cunningham with a flurry of punches that miss.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cunningham accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Cunningham is working Wallace Jr over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Cunningham has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Wallace Jr is looking to sweep but instead, Cunningham has passed into half guard.

Cunningham is looking for a kimura but Wallace Jr is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cunningham to get the leverage.

Cunningham is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wallace Jr doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cunningham.
Wallace Jr is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Cunningham looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Wallace Jr tries to get to full guard but Cunningham has control of the leg.

That was a close round but I would say that Broderick Cunningham will probably get the nod.

Wallace Jr looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

Wallace Jr closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cunningham's guard.

Wallace Jr has taken the fight to the clinch.
Wallace Jr jumps guard but Cunningham stands there with Wallace Jr around his waist. Wallace Jr gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Cunningham wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Cunningham is trying to force a seperation but Wallace Jr has the dominant position.
