Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brett Oconnor (ranked 24226 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Robertson (ranked 5499 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bob Robertson!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Robertson does no damage.
Robertson misses with a two punch combination.
Oconnor dodges the punch combination from Robertson.
Oconnor shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Robertson as he jumps to the side.
Oconnor looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Robertson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Oconnor circles away quickly and effectively.
Oconnor throws a quick counter kick to the body but Robertson avoids it.
Bob Robertson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Robertson tries to score with a low kick but Oconnor moves his leg out of the way.
Oconnor wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Robertson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Oconnor counters with a three punch combo that has Robertson backing up. Robertson nods at Oconnor to acknowledge the strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oconnor jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Robertson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Oconnor moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Oconnor was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Robertson throws a looping overhand right but Oconnor ducks down to avoid it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Robertson feints a jab promting Oconnor to slip. Robertson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Oconnor slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Robertson misses with a double jab
and Oconnor counters with a series of strikes. Robertson will be more careful next time no doubt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Robertson works over Oconnor's head and body with a nice combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oconnor shoots in looking for a takedown but Robertson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Oconnor's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
