Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rodrigo Marquez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Banks!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marquez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Marquez perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Banks tries to roll over but Marquez keeps him under control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Banks can do anything to dispel that myth.
Marquez stops Banks from getting back to his feet.

Banks is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Marquez pulls his head out easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marquez is really struggling to control Banks but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Banks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marquez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Marquez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Banks is looking to escape.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Banks counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Marquez is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Banks tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Marquez was well out of range. Poor timing from Banks.

Marquez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Banks can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Marquez is on top in guard.

Michael Banks comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Banks has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
