Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Samsonov (ranked 3628 p4p, 146 weight class) and Weird Eric (ranked 5552 p4p, 201 weight class). Eric is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Every You, Every Me. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samsonov steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Eric.
Samsonov definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Samsonov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Eric manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Samsonov clinches up with Eric and pushes him back against the cage.
Eric can't break the clinch.
Samsonov pushes Eric back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Eric is trying to push Samsonov away but Samsonov has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
