Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hubert Boone (ranked 25008 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Zigrand (ranked 5710 p4p, 0 weight class). Zigrand has chosen Linkin Park - Never back down as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zigrand tries to clinch up but Boone circles away and keeps his distance.
Zigrand tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Boone was well out of range. Poor timing from Zigrand.
Daniel Zigrand seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Boone gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Boone seems keen to control Zigrand's posture.

Zigrand tries to bench press Boone off him but Boone keeps the position.
Zigrand is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Boone's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Zigrand has one foot on Boone's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Zigrand looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
It looked like Boone was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Zigrand feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Zigrand has had enough of the clinch but Boone keeps him there for the moment.

Zigrand gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Boone.

Zigrand gets control of Boone's arms and successfully pulls guard. Zigrand will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Boone closes the distance and clinches up with Zigrand, looking for a takedown. Boone pushes Zigrand against the cage but Zigrand circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Zigrand lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Zigrand is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Boone can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Zigrand takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
