Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Arnulfo Mccormick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alex Barros!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barros is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mccormick's half guard.

Mccormick kicks Barros off and gets back to his feet.

Barros shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Mccormick has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Barros is on him like a limpet, forcing Mccormick back against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mccormick landing knees to the body.
Mccormick is working Barros over against the cage.
Mccormick tries a body shot but Barros blocks it.

Mccormick escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Barros gets the takedown into side control.
Mccormick can't do much from the bottom here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mccormick is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Barros has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Barros tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Mccormick really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Barros goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Mccormick has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Barros but great work by Mccormick.
Mccormick lands some shots froms side control.
Mccormick lands a nice forearm strike.
Barros trying to control but Mccormick flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Mccormick keeps control of the position as Barros tries to break free.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mccormick is working the ground and pound. Can Barros escape?

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mccormick lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Barros.
Mccormick will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Mccormick has Barros flattened out and is raining down punches.

Mccormick has the hooks in. Barros is starting to panic. He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. Mccormick passes his arm under Barros's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Barros taps!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Arnulfo Mccormick!
