Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Kelly Mullen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jordan Pountley!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pountley fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mullen feinted with a counter takedown.
Pountley takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Mullen could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Mullen gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pountley to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Pountley sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mullen's guard.
Mullen is trying to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pountley decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Pountley looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Mullen pushes Pountley off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Pountley closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Pountley fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mullen to the ground. Pountley is now in Mullen's guard.
Pountley throws a big right hand that misses.

Mullen is trying to keep Pountley in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mullen wants to control the position but Pountley says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Pountley thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Pountley fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mullen, pushing him back against the cage.
Pountley looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Pountley breaks from the clinch.

Pountley shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mullen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Pountley controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Pountley won't allow Mullen to sweep him here.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mullen is on top in guard.

Pountley is controlling Mullen's posture.

Pountley escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mullen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Pountley has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Mullen off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Pountley clinches up against the cage.

Pountley pulls guard successfully.
Pountley is breathing heavily.
Mullen in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pountley is on top in guard.

Jordan Pountley has got the better of the ground game so far.

Pountley is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Mullen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Pountley stands up from Mullen's guard - Pountley perhaps looking for a knockout.
Mullen looks for a takedown but Pountley sprawls well.

Mullen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pountley doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pountley manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Pountley sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mullen's guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Jordan Pountley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Mullen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pountley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mullen somewhat.
Mullen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pountley avoids it really well and circles away.

Pountley throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mullen tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Pountley is in Mullen's guard.

Pountley avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Pountley is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Pountley slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Mullen tries to buck Pountley off but Pountley is having none of it.
Pountley moves into full mount!
Pountley has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Pountley's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Pountley looking to ground and pound but Mullen is blocking nicely.

Mullen wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Pountley lands with a hammerfist to the side of Mullen's head.

Pountley is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mullen is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Mullen manages to escape to a better position under a series of strikes. Pountley is now in side control.
Mullen is letting Pountley control him for a moment.
Mullen tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kelly Mullen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jordan Pountley is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Pountley happy to just control the position for now.

Well Pountley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
