The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sabrol tries to close the distance and clinch but Noobert swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Noobert throws out a leg kick but Sabrol moves out of range and Noobert only half commits.

Sabrol shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Sabrol is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Sabrol postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Noobert is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sabrol, into his guard.

Sabrol is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Sabrol controls Noobert momentarily but Noobert frees himself.

Sabrol has his foot on Noobert's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Noobert works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Noobert stands and steps away. Sabrol gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Noobert fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sabrol, pushing him back against the cage.

Noobert has Sabrol pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Sabrol is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Noobert - that's hurt Sabrol badly! Oh, another knee lands and Sabrol is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Sabrol doesn't seem to be complaining.
