Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between charles smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Creepy Bastard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). charles smith has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, charles smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Creepy Bastard!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bastard moves into the clinch successfully.
smith wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Bastard has him pressed against the cage.
A hook to the body from Bastard.

Bastard escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
No joy there for smith, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A clash of legs there as Bastard blocks the low kick.
smith lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bastard circles away quickly and effectively.
Bastard ducks right into an uppercut from smith.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Bastard.
Bastard in side control, throwing shots but smith defends.

Bastard has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Bastard closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
smith might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Bastard is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down smith's shoulder. That is not cool.
smith knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bastard on the ground.

Bastard decides to stand back up.
No joy there for smith, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
smith throws a sloppy head kick and Bastard moves out of range easily.
smith is breathing heavily.

Bastard shoots in and bounces smith off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
smith can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bastard controls the pace.
smith can't keep his opponent in guard - Bastard advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bastard is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Bastard's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Bastard uses his free foot to push down on smith's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for smith.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bastard working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. smith turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Bastard off and cradles smith's limp body as Bastard celebrates with his corner.
