The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okunaba connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Okunaba clobbers Gomi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Okunaba lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Gomi backwards.

Gomi pushes off an throws an elbow but Okunaba leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

With the fighters up against the cage, Gomi throws an elbow but misses.

Gomi seems to have recovered his senses.
Okunaba lands an uppercut.
Okunaba throws a big uppercut that drops Gomi! More strikes from Okunaba and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Gomi lies dazed against the cage as Okunaba celebrates with his cornermen!
