Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryoto Machita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rickson Fujitsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rickson Fujitsu is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Mauricio Rocha and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Machita shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Machita showed some decent athleticism there.
Fujitsu looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Machita decides to return to a standing position.
Fujitsu misses with a takedown attempt

and Machita counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Machita thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Machita decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Machita feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Machita stands and throws Fujitsu's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Machita decides to stand up, so the ref orders Fujitsu to his feet.
Machita lands with a nice combination. Fujitsu backs away looking to recover.

Machita shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Machita was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Machita looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Fujitsu tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Machita has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Fujitsu tries to hold on but Machita postures up.

Machita tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Machita looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Machita goes for an armbar but Fujitsu turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Fujitsu.

Machita working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fujitsu doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Machita is tightening it up a little... Fujitsu has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Fujitsu reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Fujitsu taps out! nice BJJ there by Machita!
