Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ranulf Drengot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Franky Stanky!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jorge Garcia and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drengot tries to keep at a distance but Stanky has taken the fight into the clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Stanky.
Stanky lands a hook to the side of the head.
A short left from Stanky.
Drengot has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stanky is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Drengot is trying to pull guard but Stanky turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Drengot drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Stanky gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ranulf Drengot. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stanky lands with a short shot to the head.
A left hand lands to the body for Stanky.
Drengot has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Stanky avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Stanky.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Stanky creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Drengot tries to work over Stanky's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Nice body punch from Stanky - that landed with a thud.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stanky lands with a left to the head.
Stanky pushes Drengot back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Good body shot from Stanky.
Drengot is looking to take this one to the mat.
Stanky scores with a nice hook to the head.
Drengot is rocked!
Still in the clinch, Stanky scores with a nice short uppercut.
Oh Drengot is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Stanky lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Drengot to his knees! Stanky keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Franky Stanky!
Franky Stanky opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
Ranulf Drengot spoke after the fight, saying 'I'm so disappointed, but I will be back!'.
