Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stuart Redman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Orlando Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sackett is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Whoomp There it is. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Stuart Redman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Orlando Sackett!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Redman.
Redman cracks Sackett with an uppercut from hell and Sackett crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Redman's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!


Sackett is rocked!


It looks like Orlando Sackett has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Redman pushes down on Sackett's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Sackett is still in real trouble! Can Redman finish him?

Redman is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sackett doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Redman.
Sackett seems to have recovered his senses.
Redman takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Redman passes to full mount!
Redman misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Redman get's back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sackett moves away from the strike by Redman.
Sackett blocks a leg kick.
Sackett is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Redman lands a jab to the nose.
Redman scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
A slow jab from Redman misses its intended target.
Stuart Redman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Redman cracks Sackett with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Redman misses with a double jab.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sackett looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Redman lands a left and a right that sends Sackett crashing to the canvas! Redman dives into mount looking to finish!

Redman moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Sackett has worked his arm free - good work by Sackett!
Redman looking to control but instead Sackett has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Redman is trying to work for a kimura but Sackett is defending well.
Redman with the ground and pound but Sackett uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Redman trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Sackett wants to sweep here but Redman controlling him for the moment.

Redman gets to his feet - Sackett follows without any prompting.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A right-left combo lands from Redman.
Sackett uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Redman.
Sackett throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Redman.
Redman feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Sackett sprawling to the canvas! Sackett rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Redman finish him?!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Redman misses with an uppercut.
Redman cracks Sackett with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Sackett falls to his knees and Redman doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stuart Redman!
