With a record of 20 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anthony Pettis!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nobody has his takedown stuffed
and Pettis makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Nobody doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Pettis counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Pettis digs a good hook to Nobody's body.
Nobody avoids a punch combination nicely.

Nobody gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nobody got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pettis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nobody has managed to get both his arms back between Pettis's legs - danger averted.

Nobody throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pettis works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Pettis pushes a forearm under Nobody's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Nobody is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Anthony Pettis!
A relieved looking Anthony Pettis thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Nigel Nobody spoke after the fight, saying 'I am Nobody!'.
