Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danial Webster (ranked 24499 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joshua White (ranked 5646 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Danial Webster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joshua White!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Anthony Taglia and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Webster counters with a one-two to the body.

Webster gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Webster manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

White jumps guard and drags Webster to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
White trying to control the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Webster showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
White looking to hit a scissor sweep but Webster is one step ahead there.
Webster will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Webster throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Webster lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Webster with a flurry of punches that miss.
White should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
White pulls Webster in close to prevent any damage.

Webster really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Webster drops back, looking for a kneebar! White looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. White looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from White!

White happy to just control the position for now.
Webster is looking for a sweep.
White working away.

White wants to stand but Webster has his arm trapped.
Webster is pushing White's head away, looking to escape. White manages to hold on to the position though.
White misses with the ground and pound.
Webster is not content to let White control the position.
Webster gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
White controlling his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Webster wants to hold on but White pushes him away.
White can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Webster is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

White lands a big shot there that rocks Webster but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Webster is trying desperately to improve position.

White prevents Webster from improving his position.
White is thwarting Webster's attempts to control the position.
Webster avoiding damage under a succession of punches from White.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Webster wants to get back to his feet.
White working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

It looked like Webster was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

White dives in and scores a takedown into Webster's guard.

Webster wriggles free and stands up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

White changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Webster looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Webster wants to control but White postures up.
Webster tries to get back to half guard but can't.
White prevents Webster from escaping the position.

White tries for a kimura but Webster is defending well.
A lull in the action here.
White wants to lay and pray for a moment but Webster keeps working.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Webster is trying to control White's posture but White avoids it.
Webster tries to improve position but can't.
White working the body and head with strikes.
White prevents Webster from escaping the position.
White trying to control the action but Webster is working from the bottom.
White grinds an elbow into Webster's temple.

White working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

White wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Webster, who protects the arm well.
White is breathing heavily.
Webster can't do much from the bottom here.
Webster takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee asks White politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. White prefers to stall for the moment though.
White works to advance to full mount. Webster defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

White is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Webster is surviving well by controlling White's body position as best he can.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, White cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Webster tries to hold on but White pushes him away.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Webster is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joshua White showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



White closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Webster quickly recovers to half guard.
White blocks the strikes from Webster.

White is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Webster defends it well.
Webster tries to roll over but White keeps him under control.

White is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Webster sees it coming and defends easily.
White has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Webster is trying to control but can't.
White tries to stand and escape but Webster is controlling the position.
Webster misses with some strikes from the bottom.
White slips a nice elbow through Webster's hands, connecting with Webster's forehead.

White is taking a breather. Webster says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
White stops Webster from getting back to his feet.

Webster flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Webster gets caught flat footed, as White shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
White trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
White scoring with some ground and pound.
White stops Webster from standing up.
Webster is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Webster keeping moving, preventing White from controlling successfully.
White looking to sit in guard and control but Webster gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

White will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Webster trying to control but White is working from the bottom.
Webster postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Webster got a little sloppy there for a moment and White has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Webster has managed to get both his arms back between White's legs - danger averted.
White has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

White tries to land a sweep but no joy.
White keeping moving, preventing Webster from controlling successfully.
Webster is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because White is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Webster throws an elbow that misses. White uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Webster's guard. Nice move by White!

Webster has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Webster wants to control the position but White says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Webster trying to hold on to White's head to control him but White postures up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
It looks like White is going to stand back up.
Danial Webster has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Joshua White is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Webster flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Joshua White comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got White winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
