The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McBoxingMan is looking to clinch but Butcher is avoiding it.
Butcher scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Butcher jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Butcher connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Nice defenses there by Butcher.
Butcher throws out a counter right but McBoxingMan avoids it with no problem.
McBoxingMan fails in his attempt to clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Butcher counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
McBoxingMan's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Butcher connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! McBoxingMan scrambles back to his feet.

We've been hearing reports that McBoxingMan has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Butcher throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Butcher looking to hit a scissor sweep but McBoxingMan is one step ahead there.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Butcher can do anything to dispel that myth.
